EGX ends Sunday mixed; market cap rises EGP 801m

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a varied note amid Arab purchases and local and foreign selloffs.

The main EGX30 index retreated by 0.74% to stand at 10,969 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 1.91% to 1,972 points.

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI rose by 1.41% to 2,864 points, wheras the EGX50 EWI advanced by 0.38% to 2,059 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 801 million to register EGP 617.890 billion.

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 15.4 million, while local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 9.6 million and EGP 5.7 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.09 billion after 409.7 million shares were traded through about 39,290 transactions.
