EGX closes Wednesday’s trading session in red

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a negative performance on Wednesday, with the EGX30 main index down 0.79% to 19,797.23 points.

Both the EGX70 EWI and the EGX100 EWI ended the trading session lower by 1.97% at 3,799.67 points and by 1.65% at 5,623.93 points, respectively.

The turnover amounted to EGP 2.91 billion through the exchange of 835.69 million shares, while the market cap value reached EGP 1.34 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were net sellers with EGP 198.74 million. Meanwhile, the foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 166.47 million and EGP 32.26 million, respectively.
