EGX closes Tuesday in red zone

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 main index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) retreated by 0.33% to 30,159.15 points at the end of Tuesday’s session.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI closed the session lower by 0.91% at 9,987.36 points and the Shariah index fell by 0.36% to 2,873.94 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also decreased by 1.02% to 6,988.87 points.

The turnover amounted to EGP 3 billion through the trading of 706.37 million shares.

In addition, the market cap value reached EGP 2.04 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were the net sellers with EGP 35.31 million and EGP 99.05 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, the foreign traders were the net buyers with EGP 136.37 million.
