EGX closes Sunday with negative performance

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in the red zone, with the EGX30 main index down 3.13% to 9,763.19 points.

The EGX50 EWI also retreated by 3.24% to 1,855.94 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices plunged by 6.76% to 2,114.53 points and by 5.78% to 3,036.90 points, respectively.

Furthermore, a total of 737.32 million shares were traded at a value of EGP 1.27 billion, while the market cap value reached EGP 676.64 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Arab and Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 20.05 million and EGP 10.31 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 30.36 million.
