Cairo – Mubasher: The performance of the Egyptian pound was mixed on Tuesday against foreign currencies at national and private banks.
Misr Iran Development Bank (MIDB) offered the highest US dollar rate at EGP 17.9 for buying and EGP 17.98 for selling, whereas Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) registered the lowest rate at EGP 17.79 for buying and EGP 17.89 for selling.
Meanwhile, the average rate of the euro across Egyptian banks ranged between EGP 20.18 and EGP 20.77 for purchasing and between EGP 20.37 and EGP 20.92 for selling.
Banque Du Caire registered the highest rate for buying and selling the British pound (GBP) at EGP 23.4 and EGP 23.61, respectively, while the Agricultural Bank of Egypt (ABE) recorded the lowest rate at EGP 22.6 for buying and EGP 23.1 for selling.
The USD has jumped on Tuesday against the main global currencies, marking two-week high.
