Cairo - Mubasher: EFG-Hermes has topped capital market companies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in the first quarter of the year.
The group accounted for 63.4% of total transactions, fees, and commissions, amounting to $866 million out of the total $1.4 billion for the region, according to a report by Thomson Reuters.
The total number of issuances of stocks and bonds in the region recorded $104 billion in Q1-18, a surge of 158% year-on-year.
Hermes was followed by Emirates NBD with a 21.1% market share, Al Rajhi Group with 8.3%, and Ubhar Capital with 5.3%.
