EBRD inks EUR 2.5m deal with Egyptian company

Cairo – Mubasher: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has signed a EUR 2.5 million (EGP 48.09 million) agreement with Egypt’s Fresh Farm Company.

The agreement came in line with finance provided by EBRD to Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) in the North African country, according to a statement from Egyptian investment ministry.

In April, EBRD’s president Suma Chakrabarti said that the bank’s investments in Egypt totalled EUR 4.8 billion in 91 projects.

EBRD’s largest investments in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) were implemented in Egypt with around EUR 2.2 billion over the past two years, he added.
