EBE submits capital raise documents to EGX

Cairo – Mubasher: Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBE) has submitted the documents required for increasing its issued and paid-up capital to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

The lender aims to raise the capital through 32.73 million bonus shares at a value of EGP 327.36 million, equivalent to a par value of EGP 10 per share, according to a bourse disclosure.

Once the documents are approved, the new capital will stand at EGP 5.60 billion, instead of EGP 5.27 billion prior to the hike process.

In 2022, the EBE’s board passed a capital increase worth EGP 1.32 billion to EGP 6.60 billion through two phases.

The second phase is valued at EGP 1 billion and will be carried out through a rights issue of 100 million shares.
