Dubai’s international airport set to receive 1bln passengers in 2018

The UAE’s Dubai International Airport is set to welcome its billionth passenger since its opening in the 1960s, according to the Dubai Media Office.
The announcement was made in a video on its official Twitter account.
In 2017, almost 90 million passengers went through the airport according to travel data from Airports Council International.
According to the statistics, the US’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia was named the world’s busiest in the world, having welcomed 104 million passengers.
