Dubai's inflation declines 3.4% YoY in September

UAE – Mubasher: Dubai's inflation has retreated by 3.4% year-on-year (YoY) in September to continue its decrease for the 22nd session in a row, according to the latest statistics by Dubai Statistics Centre.

Lower inflation is driven by a decline in some expenditure sectors, including clothing and footwear with 1.4%, housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels with 6.13%, and transport with 7.6%.

On a monthly basis, Dubai's inflation went down by 0.45% in September, when compared to August.

It is noteworthy to mention that in August, the UAE's Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased by 2.59% to 106.5 points, compared to 109.3 points in the same month of 2019.
