Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has approved to expand the smart traffic systems for roads at a value of AED 590 million.
The project is part of RTA’s expansion plans, director general and chairman Mattar Al Tayer said in a statement.
The project includes carrying out an integrated infrastructure for the smart traffic systems, along with establishing a new control room in Al Barsha, Al Tayer added.
The official further noted that this expansion is aimed at raising coverage of Dubai roads with smart systems by 60%, from 11%, and easing the management of traffic congestions and accidents.
