UAE – Mubasher: Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, has issued a decree to cut fuel surcharge for electricity by 23% to 5 fils/kWh from 6.5 fils/kWh.
Fuel surcharge for water is also reduced by 33% to 0.4 fils for Imperial Gallon from 0.6 fils, according to a press release on Sunday.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed said that this decree will be implemented on electricity and water bills starting 1 December 2020.
This decision came in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to put renewable energy at the top of Dubai's energy mix.
