Dubai issues real estate permits via Trakheesi

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Land Department (DLD), through the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), said it issued around half a million real estate permits for property firms through the 'Trakheesi' system.

The user-friendly electronic service systems in Trakheesi enable the immediate issuance of all types of permits at any time and without the need to go through RERA, the DLD said in a statement.

Customers could get up to 15 types of approved real estate permits, including those for organising real estate exhibitions, those required for outdoor and newspaper advertisements, and others for open days.

Trakheesi will also help customers carry out promotional campaigns and SMS, vehicle, and print advertisements for their real estate projects.

In addition, the new system will allow customers to issue permits for classified ads and billboards, according to the statement.

The DLD highlighted that developers would be required to obtain permits from RERA to organise project launches, promotional campaigns, and platforms, or to advertise and organise real estate seminars in Dubai.

“Trakheesi allows customers to obtain a wide range of permits to assist with their transactions in the highest degree of transparency, and in harmony with the regulations and legislation in this sector,” director of real estate licensing department at RERA Ali Abdulla Al Ali said.

In 2017, the DLD had launched a new version of Trakheesi with updated and improved services to further facilitate and accelerate customers' procedures, Al Ali added

Real estate brokerage offices and brokers working in the emirate can complete their transactions through the DLD’s official website under the new system.
