Dubai completes 72% of multimillion-dollar library

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai-based leading construction company ASGC has completed around 72% of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library’s building works.

In October 2016, ASGC began the construction works of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library after winning an AED 900 million ($245 million) building deal.

The work scope includes the establishment of the library’s wall along the seafront, pavements, roads, infrastructure, landscaping, and finishing works, according to Construction Week.

Located in Al Jaddaf and adjacent to Dubai Creek, the library will be the largest in the Arab region.

In the same vein, ASU, the unit of ASGC Group, will implement the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works for the UAE-based library.

In February, SageGlass affirmed that it will use its smart electrochromic glass technology in building the library.

Electrochromic glass technology helps control glare, heat, and daylight.
