Dubai Chamber registers 16,614 new member companies in 2020

UAE - Mubasher: Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has registered 16,614 new member companies in 2020, raising the total number of member companies at the Chamber to 261,000.

The total value of the member companies' exports and re-exports recorded AED 185 billion in 2020, according to a recent press release.

Providing 98% of its main services online, Dubai Chamber has implemented 659,000 e-transactions and issued 632,000 Certificates of Origin last year.

In March 2020, the Chamber introduced an electronic attestation service and the authentication of signatures on documents, reflecting its ability to adapt to global changes, namely amid coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, Dubai Chamber has collaborated with Google to launch 50,000 local businesses online by listing them on Google my Business and training them in digital marketing.

A separate partnership with Amazon was also formed to enable Dubai Chamber member companies to promote their digital presence and explore new business opportunities.
