Delta Insurance’s board approves capital increase to EGP 550m

Cairo - Mubasher: The board members of Delta Insurance Company have greenlighted raising the company’s issued capital by EGP 50 million to EGP 550 million from EGP 500 million.

The capital hike value will be financed from 2024’s profits and reserves, according to a bourse filing.

Meanwhile, the increase will be implemented through the issuance of 12.50 million bonus shares at a nominal value of EGP 4 each.

The shareholders will receive one share for every 10 shares, equivalent to 10% of a share for every one original share held before the increase.

It is worth noting that in October 2025, Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH) completed the sale of its entire 63.39% stake in Delta Insurance to Al Wafa Insurance Company in a transaction worth EGP 3.16 billion.

During the first nine months (9M) of 2025, the insurance company's consolidated net profits after tax hit EGP 689.03 million, while its total revenues amounted to EGP 885.79 million.
