Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Dana Gas has appointed Richard Hall as the Group CEO after the announcement of the retirement of Patrick Allman-Ward, according to a bourse disclosure.
Hall will join Dana Gas on 6 November 2023, while the current CEO Allman-Ward will remain an advisor to the board.
Chairman of Dana Gas, Hamid Jafar, said: “We are very pleased to have him [Hall] on board and are confident that his broad and extensive international experience will prove to be an asset for our organization and are confident that he has the qualifications and skill sets that are needed to drive Dana Gas forward and implement its next phase of development and growth.”
Jafar added: “I also want to extend my gratitude to Dr. Patrick Allman-Ward, the outgoing CEO, for his dedication, leadership, and contributions to Dana Gas. Under his guidance, the company has achieved significant milestones and maintained its position as a leading player in the regional energy sector.”
It is worth noting that Allman-Ward has been Dana Gas’ CEO since September 2013, after he served as the General and Country Manager for Dana Gas Egypt from August 2012 until the same month in 2013.
Meanwhile, the new Group CEO Hall joins Dana Gas from EnQuest, where he spent the last three years as a Chief Operating Officer, and as a Managing Director in Malaysia. Earlier, he assumed senior roles in the petroleum service sector in different areas including the Middle East.
Hall noted: "Our industry is undergoing significant growth and evolution, and I look forward to working collaboratively with our talented professionals under the auspices of the company’s board to drive innovation, sustainability, and value creation for our stakeholders.”
Regarding the financial results of Dana Gas during the first half (H1) of 2023, the ADX-listed entity generated AED 304 million ($83 million) in net profit attributable to the owners, while its gross revenues hit AED 814 million ($222 million).
