Riyadh — Mubasher: Dar Almarkabah for Renting Cars Company (DS Rent) announced the results of its Ordinary General Assembly meeting held on 8 July 2026, according to a bourse filing.
The shareholders notably voted against discharging the members of the board of directors for the fiscal year ended on 31 December 2025.
The virtual meeting, which recorded an attendance rate of 92.90%, also saw the rejection of a proposal to delegate general assembly licensing powers to the board under Article 27 of the Companies Law.
Despite these rejections, shareholders approved the appointment of Al Kharashi & Co. as the company’s external auditor.
The auditing firm will be tasked with reviewing the semi-annual and annual financial statements for the 2026 fiscal year for a fee of SAR 300,000.
The assembly further reviewed the board of directors' report and the consolidated financial statements for the period ended on 31 December 2025.
While the auditor's report for the same period was approved, the refusal to grant discharge to the board marks a significant development for the Riyadh-based car rental firm.
The meeting concluded after discussing all agenda items via modern technology platforms.
