UAE – Mubasher: DP World, the operator of the multipurpose terminal at the Port of Ain Sokhna, received a new mobile harbour crane, according to a press release.
Manufactured by Konecranes, the mobile harbour crane will boost DP World’s productivity and efficiency for the benefit of customers.
The crane was developed to handle Capesize bulk carriers, as it has a capacity of 125 tonnes and a daily discharge rate of 10,000 tonnes.
Furthermore, DP World in Sokhna also received new loader equipment - two Caterpillar 988K loader cranes – with the ability to lift 25 M3 per lift, as well as load transport vehicles.
All the equipment, which will become operational during April, will enhance efficiency at the terminal
This comes within the framework of DP World’s investment in advanced equipment to increase the terminal’s capability for enhanced international trade flows in and out of the Port of Ain Sokhna and offer customers best-in-class service.
Last March, DP World launched more than 100 freight forwarding offices globally to back customers navigating the complexities of global trade.
