Mubasher: DHL Global Forwarding on Monday announced new general manager appointments in several Arab countries across the GCC and North Africa.
The German leading international provider of air, sea, and road freight services appointed Christelle Fadel to lead its business in Morocco, while Rob Kennaugh and Fadi Bastoni were given senior positions in Bahrain and Kuwait, respectively.
Fadel's, Kennaugh's, and Bastoni’s deep local and regional experiences in the logistics industry will help strengthen DHL Global Forwarding’s business and performance in their respective countries, the Bonn-based freight provider said in a statement.
"We have high hopes for growth within our region: The Middle East is projected to grow by 3.7%,” noted Amadou Diallo, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Middle East and Africa (MENA).
Christelle Fadel, general manager of DHL Global Forwarding Morocco, also said that the economic outlook for North Africa was "extremely positive" and that it was expected to grow by 5% in 2018.
Having had various opportunities to contribute to the DHL business and the wider logistics industry, DHL Global Forwarding Kuwait's newly appointed general manager Fadi Bastoni said that "With the economy poised to see a 3.5% growth this year, and the government pushing to maintain strong spending on transport and logistics infrastructure, Kuwait presents a tremendous opportunity for us and Kuwaiti businesses."
