DFMGI slips 0.03% Thursday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index edged down 0.03% to 3,393.46 points on Thursday.

The DFMGI did not hold its gains on Wednesday, as the negative expectations return to haunt the investors, capital market analyst Mohamed Al Azmi told Mubasher.

The emerging of new incentives is a must, Al Azmi added.

The market may recover in the coming sessions, in line with the listing of ADNOC Distribution on 13 December, the analyst remarked.

Some heavy-weighted stocks saw selling pressure, especially DAMAC Properties, shedding 2.35% to AED 3.32.

Dubai Investments and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) dropped 2.1% and 1.32%, respectively.

The DFM’s trading volume reached 302.14 million shares, generating AED 566.27 million through 4,261 transactions.
