DFM’s shareholders greenlight dividends for 2022; new policy unveiled

Dubai – Mubasher: The shareholders of Dubai Financial Market Company (DFM) passed the distribution of cash dividends worth AED 134.70 million, representing 1.68% of the capital, for 2022.

This was announced during the annual general meeting (AGM) that was held on 21 March 2023, according to a press release.

The shareholders also agreed to adopt a new fixed dividend policy, under which DFM will pay out a minimum of 50% of its distributable net profits on an annual basis.

In 2022, the UAE-based company logged net profits attributable to owners of AED 147.11 million, a 41.70% year-on-year (YoY) leap from AED 103.84 million.

Revenues jumped by 19% to AED 351.20 million last year from AED 294.60 million in 2021, while the basic earnings per share (EPS) increased to AED 0.018 from AED 0.013.
