DFM rises 24 pts in week, hits 5M high

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index went up 23.75 points, or 0.85%, to 2,813.91 points in a week, marking its highest weekly level since November.

Market capitalisation gained AED 2.49 billion to AED 365.56 billion over the week.

The insurance, transport, and investment sectors rose 10%, 6.66%, and 3.18%, respectively.

Salama Insurance surged 20.41% and Shuaa Capital soared 19.4%, while Gulf Navigation and Air Arabia levelled up 4.5% and 0.99%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Dubai Investments added 6.67% and DFM Company went up 3.12%. The banking sector rose 0.51%, as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) gained 1.8%.

Union Properties surged 12.8%, while Deyaar Development and Arabtec Holding levelled up 6.2% and 4.2%, respectively.
