DFM loses 11 pts on Thursday; ADX edges slightly higher

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed in the red territory on Thursday, after declining by 11.32 points (0.26%) to settle at 4,236.98 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 305.59 million through the exchange of 206.96 million shares.

Emaar recorded the highest trading value of AED 47.06 million, while Ithmaar was the most active stock with 10.38 million shares.

Ithmaar was also the top gainer after surging 14.89%, whereas National International Holding headed the decliners with 10%.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched higher by 0.006% to 9,225.83 points.

A total of 206.67 million shares were exchanged at an amount of AED 947.18 million, while the market cap value stood at AED 2.85 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 207.01 million for the second day in a row, while Multiply Group dominated the trading volume with 24.63 million shares.

National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCTH) topped gainers with 4.46%, whereas Hayah Insurance Company led the fallers for the second consecutive day with 7.85%.
