DFM goes down 22 pts Monday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index lost 21.96 points, or 0.79%, to 2,752.13 points on Monday.

The real estate sector went down 1.66%, as Damac Properties sank 2.87% to AED 2.03 and Arabtec Holding fell 2.76% to AED 1.76, while Emaar Malls, Union Properties, and Emaar Development declined 1.6%, 1.42%, and 0.96%, respectively.

The investment sector lost 0.89%, as DFM Company fell 2.71% to AED 0.934 and Dubai Investments shed 0.5% to AED 1.92.

The banks sector also levelled down 0.38%, as Ajman Bank decreased by 2.44% to AED 0.92, while the consumer staples sector sank 0.25% after DXB Entertainments fell 0.3% to AED 0.356.

The telecommunication sector shed 0.2% and the transportation sector inched down 0.08%.

The DFM’s trading volume reached 96.87 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 267.42 million.
