DFM ends Thursday in decline

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Thursday’s trading session with negative performance, pressured by the real estate and telecommunication sectors.

The DFM’s general index went up 0.57%, or 14.96 points, to finish the last session of the week at 2,628.74 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 152.432 million after 95.563 million shares exchanged hands through 2,267 transactions.

The real estate sector headed the losers after falling 1.25% as Emaar Properties plunged 1.47%, while the telecommunication sector went down 0.93%.

Similarly, the transportation sector retreated 0.67% on the back of Aramex’s 1.24% drop.

On the other hand, the banks sector topped the gainers adding 0.10% as Emirates NBD grew 1.01%.
