DFM closes Wednesday up; ADX falls

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Wednesday’s trading session higher by 2.50 points (0.05%) at 4,248.30 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 324.08 million through the exchange of 138.17 million shares.

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) recorded the highest trading value of AED 84.88 million, while Deyaar Development was the most active stock with 37.24 million shares.

Al Salam Bank – Sudan led the gainers with 7.21%, whereas Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) headed the decliners with 9.82%.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged down by 0.167% to 9,220.85 points.

A total of 203.29 million shares were exchanged at an amount of AED 934.15 million, while the market cap value stood at AED 2.84 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 295.93 million, while Multiply Group dominated the trading volume with 43.70 million shares.

Methaq Takaful Insurance advanced the risers with 8.28%, whereas Hayah Insurance Company led the fallers with 9.95%.
