Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) on Sunday announced that it had approved its budget for 2018, which increased by 8.5% to AED 26.42 billion, compared to AED 24.36 billion in 2017.
The new budget includes investments in traditional and non-traditional energy resources, in addition to advanced technologies.
DEWA stated that it had received “the best bid” for a 700-megawatt concentrated solar power project, with a total cost of AED 14.2 billion.
The budget also comprises AED 2.7 billion electricity and water projects, along with energy transfer and distribution projects worth AED 5 billion and AED 1.75 billion, respectively, DEWA revealed.
