Cairo – Mubasher: The board of Crédit Agricole Egypt recommended a dividend of EGP 1.55 per share for 2022, according to a bourse discourse.
The proposed amount is equivalent to 80% of distributable profits valued at EGP 2.41 billion.
Meanwhile, the board’s recommendation is still subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
In 2022, the EGX-listed bank recorded a 50.25% leap in consolidated net profit after tax to EGP 2.41 billion, compared to EGP 1.60 billion a year earlier.
The interest income jumped by 21.60% to EGP 6.33 billion last year from EGP 5.20 billion in 2021, whereas the deposits grew by 25.48% to EGP 60.49 billion from EGP 48.20 billion.
