Al Hamad Building Contracting Co has been picked to develop developer Alef Group’s $817m (AED3bn) Al Mamsha community, which is being touted as Sharjah’s first car-free development.
The mixed-use development’s residential, retail, and leisure units are connected by sidewalks and walkways.
Spanning 28ha, the project features studios, in addition to one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes, plus penthouses and duplexes.
Additional residential amenities include a centralised food and beverage hub named The Khan; a live entertainment platform named Entertainment Zone; and facilities such as swimming pool clusters, children’s play areas, and nurseries, Arabian Business reported.
Commenting on the project’s location, Issa Ataya, managing director of Alef Group, said: “Sharjah provides a secure investment environment, advanced infrastructure, and a robust legislative system that ensures legal security for investors from around the world.”
