Chinese brands eyes foothold in UAE

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Various shopping brands and shopping destinations in China are looking forward to expansion in the UAE and the Middle East in general.

Chinese brands have a host of resources that enable them to expand their presence locally and globally, head of consulting services at JLL John Fekete told Arabian Business.

“They have got almost turnkey support, [with] developers, investors and infrastructure experts ready to build them malls or outlets….and the market here is very receptive to that,” he added.

Chinese brands are well-known for their high-quality and cost-efficiency, Fekete noted.

Dragon City in Dubai houses Dragon Mart, which is considered the world’s largest Chinese retail and trading hub outside China.

Earlier in July, Emaar Properties unveiled plans to launch the Middle East’s first Chinese town within the retail district of Dubai Creek Harbour.
