Cairo records EGP 90m smoke customs revenues in June

Cairo – Mubasher: The General Administration of Smoke Customs has announced EGP 89.71 million in the revenues of Cairo's customs during June.

The general administration received 250 containers of raw smoke materials through the transit system for storage, excluding taxes and customs duties, with a total number of parcels of 24,656, according to a press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the administration has issued 80 partial withdrawal certificates, with 6,534 parcels.

The General Administration of Smoke Customs collected EGP 11.68 million from tax and customs duties last month, while the total fines stood at EGP 62,000.

In the meantime, the total value-added tax reached about EGP 74.54 million, while the tax on commercial and industrial profits and liberal professions totalled EGP 875,000.

It is noteworthy to mention that in May, Cairo registered EGP 85.93 million in the revenues of smoke customs, as reported by Al Ahram Newspaper.
