CIB pushes EGX30 near 15,000 pts early Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Thursday’s trading session, the last session this week, up on the back of Arab buying.

By 10:19 am Cairo time, the benchmark EX30 index gained 117.82 points, or 0.79%, to 14,923.87 points.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 1.01% to EGP 75.01 at a turnover f EGP 4.8 million.

The EGX70 index edged up 0.32% to 847.55 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.33% to 2,031 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index remained stable at 2,643 points.

Trading volume reached about 22.15 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 68.06 million through 1,800 transactions.

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 2.9 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers with EP 2.3 million and EGP 624,400, respectively.
