CI Capital’s profits jump 148% in 2021; dividends proposed

Cairo – Mubasher: CI Capital Holding For Financial Investments witnessed a year-on-year (YoY) hike of 147.90% in the consolidated net profits after tax to EGP 1.53 billion in 2021 from EGP 619.91 million.

Revenues widened to EGP 2.58 billion in the 12-month period that ended on 30 December 2021, compared to EGP 2.19 billion a year earlier, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the standalone net profits after tax reached EGP 254.92 million in 2021, higher than EGP 169.13 million in 2020.

Earnings per share rose to EGP 0.23 in 2021 from EGP 0.15 in the prior year.

The non-consolidated revenues amounted to EGP 409.68 million last year, compared to EGP 196.40 million in 2020.

The board of CI Capital recommended a cash dividend of EGP 0.25 per share for 2021 that would be paid over two instalments.

It is worth noting that in the first nine months (9M) of 2021, the company logged consolidated net profits worth EGP 1.22 billion, an annual leap of 268.90% from EGP 330.77 million.
