CBK maintains interest rates at 3%

Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has decided to keep its interest rate unchanged at 3%, as reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The decision aims at supporting the recovered economic growth rates, and to continue moving utilizing the tools and procedures of monetary policy available to him to establish the appeal and competitiveness needed to the national currency, making it as a profitable and reliable domestic savings, according to governor Mohammad Al-Hashil.

The move follows the decision by the US Federal Reserve to raise interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday.
