CBE unveils EGP 70bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 70 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 15 February 2024.

The first issue was valued at EGP 35 billion, carrying a tenor of 182 days until 20 August this year, according to official data.

With the same amount, the second will mature in 364 days on 18 February 2025.

Earlier this week, the CBE issued T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 62 billion through two offerings.
