Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 4 billion through two auctions on Monday, 19 September.
With a five-year maturity period until 12 July 2027, the first offering was valued at EGP 1 billion, according to official data.
The second T-bonds issue stood at EGP 3 billion, holding a tenor of three years until 6 September 2025.
Additionally, the CBE offered zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7.50 billion through one tranche, which will mature in 1.5 years on 12 March 2024.
Last week, the central bank auctioned T-bonds at a total value of EGP 4 billion through two issues and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7 billion through one tranche.
