CBE offers T-bills worth EGP 60bn on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) worth EGP 60 billion through two tranches on Sunday, 18 August 2024.

The first tranche stood at EGP 35 billion and will mature in 91 days on 19 November this year, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second issue was valued at EGP 25 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 20 May 2025.

On Thursday, 15 August, the central bank issued T-bills at a combined value of EGP 65 billion through two offerings.
