CBE offers EGP 46.5bn debt instruments on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 46.50 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 7 December 2023.

The first issue totalled EGP 19.50 billion and is holding a 182-day maturity period that will end on 11 June 2024, according to official data.

The second offering stood at EGP 27 billion, holding a tenor of 364 days until 10 December 2024.

Earlier this week on 3 December, the central bank auctioned T-bill notes at an integrated value of EGP 47.50 billion through two issues.
