CBE issues T-bills worth EGP 50bn on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 50 billion through two offerings on Sunday, 13 October 2024.

The first tranche stood at EGP 30 billion and will mature in 91 days on 14 January 2025, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering was valued at EGP 20 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 15 July next year.

On 10 October 2024, the CBE issued T-bills with the same amount through two auctions.
