Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 70 billion through two auctions on Thursday, 22 February 2024.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 35 billion and will mature in 182 days on 27 August this year, according to official data.
With the same amount, the second offering holds a tenor of 364 days until 25 February 2025.
On 18 February, the CBE announced T-bills valued at EGP 62 billion through two tranches.
