CBE issues EGP 70bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 70 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 8 February 2024.

The first issue was valued at EGP 35 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 13 August this year, according to official data.

Auctioned at the same amount, the second tranche will mature in 364 days on 11 February 2025.

Earlier this week, on 4 February, the CBE offered T-bills worth EGP 62 billion through two issues.
