CBE auctions T-bonds worth EGP 3bn on Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 3 billion over three tranches on Monday, 24 January, according to official data.

The First offering was valued at EGP 1.25 billion and will carry a two-year tenor until 11 January 2024.

The second tranche stood at EGP 1 billion, holding a five-year maturity period until 11 January 2027.

The third issue was worth EGP 750 million and will mature in 10 years on 11 January 2032.

On 10 January, the CBE auctioned EGP 1.5 billion worth of T-bonds through one offering with a five-year tenor until 11 January 2027
