CBE auctions EGP 95bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced treasury bills (T-bills) worth EGP 95 billion through two auctions on Thursday, 5 March.

Holding a tenor of 182 days until 8 September 2026, the first auction stood at EGP 40 billion, according to official data.

The second tranche hit EGP 55 billion and will mature in 364 days on 9 March 2027.

Last week, the CBE issued T-bills at a combined value of EGP 90 billion through two issues.
