CBE auctions EGP 30bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 30 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 15 September.

The first issue was valued at EGP 14.50 billion, carrying a 182-day maturity period until 21 March 2023, according to official data.

The second auction stood at EGP 15.50 billion, holding a tenor of 364 days until 19 September next year.

On 11 September, the central bank issued T-bills worth EGP 21.50 billion through two offerings.
