CBE announces EGP 90bn debt instruments on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 80 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 4 May.

Holding a 182-day tenor until 4 November 2025, the first issue was valued at EGP 35 billion, according to official data.

The second tranche stood at EGP 45 billion and will mature in 364 days on 5 May 2026.

Meanwhile, the CBE issued fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 10 billion through one offering, which will mature in three years on 6 May 2028.
