Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 95 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 9 April.
The first issue was valued at EGP 50 billion, with a tenor of 182 days until 13 October this year, according to the CBE’s data.
Carrying a 364-day maturity period until 13 April 2027, the second offering stood at EGP 45 billion.
The CBE also announced treasury bonds (T-bonds) totaling EGP 9 billion in two auctions, maturing on 31 March 2028 and 31 March 2031, respectively.
Earlier this week, the financial authority unveiled T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 100 billion and issued T-bonds at a total value of EGP 10 billion, as well as a floating-rate T-bond of EGP 3 billion.
