The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Tuesday said that the value of industrial production increased in the second quarter of the 2017 fiscal year to reach 135.5 billion pounds.
The agency added in a report that the figure stands against 127.7 billion pounds of the previous fiscal year at an increase rate of 6.1 percent.
The report indicated that food industries constituted 24.6 percent of the total production while iron and steel industries ranked second at a rate of 15.9 percent.
