Bupa Arabia’s profits up 9% in 9M-22 initial financials

Riyadh – Mubasher: Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Company recorded an annual growth of 9.09% in net profit before Zakat to SAR 804.30 million during the first nine months (9M) of 2022, compared to SAR 737.30 million.

The earnings per share (EPS) went up to SAR 5.62 in the January-September 2022 period, versus SAR 5.07 in 9M-21, according to the interim consolidated financial results.

Meanwhile, the net written premiums (NWP) increased by 22.79% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 11.33 billion in 9M-22, compared to SAR 9.22 billion.

During the third quarter (Q3) of 2022, the Tadawul-listed firm logged a net profit before Zakat worth SAR 375.32 million, higher by 64.42% YoY than SAR 228.27 million.

The NWP surged by 20.86% YoY to SAR 4.16 billion in Q3-22 from SAR 3.44 billion in Q3-21.

On a quarterly basis, the Q3-22 net profits before Zakat hiked by 28.97% to SAR 291.02 million in Q2-22, while the NWP widened by 40.24% from SAR 2.96 billion.

In 6M-22, Bupa Arabia generated SAR 428.97 million in net profit before Zakat, up 15.73% YoY from SAR 509.02 million.
