Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait opened Wednesday's trading session on a mixed noted, as the price index went down 0.39%, or 24.9 points, to 6,287.64 points, whereas the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices edged up 0.11% and 0.42%, respectively.
By 9:45 am Kuwait time, the banking sector inched up 0.75% as Ithmaar Holding’s stock increased 4.6%.
On the flipside, the financial services sector tumbled 1.7% after Tamdeen Investment’s stock retreated 20%.
The bourse’s trading volume reached 23.1 million shares, through 602 transactions, with a liquidity of KWD 2.24 million.
Ithmaar Holding’s stock was the most active in terms of traded volume after 15.4 million shares were exchanged, through 210 transactions, generating KWD 733,000.
